So when my fuel gauge gets below half a tank my check engine light comes on and the truck starts spuddering. I'm not sure what to replace. A fuel pump is all I can think of but that still doesn't make sense. Anything helps, thanks!!

If your check engine light comes on it should have logged an error code. Check it with a reader, you can borrow them at most autoparts stores for free if you don't have one.

It sounds like the fuel pump. The code will confirm it for you before you buy anything.

I wonder if you have a hole in the line gong from the pump it off the tank. Kinda like when you drink out of a strawworth a hole in it?
