This is true. My job as driver is supposed to be involved and interactive. The more "this is auto now, so you can focus on driving" features just lulls you into boredom. Mirror and light adjustments, windshield wiper speed, gas, brake, steering wheel and turn signals are my job. I am standard equipment in all vehicles i operate. I'lllet the conputer do things I cant like trigger airbags at the right speed and time if needed and adjust fuel mixture based on temp and altitude :)

I'm not one in to the fancy stuff and what not, but that is actually a pretty good idea. If it saves a life, it's well worth the investment.

I think they're already doing that.

Ride a motorcycle and you'll swear they're blind.

And they do have braille instructions and buttons on the drive-up ATM ;)

    Motors are nothing new.
Former boss had a Q45 (gatling-gun style multiple-lens projectors) that self-leveled as the suspension was loaded and unloaded.

I will NOT ride a motorcycle on the street because I already know about their invisibility and vulnerability.

Oh no... they're blind when you're in a cage too, you just aren't as aware of it because you're protected by 4000lbs of steel.

50,000 miles the first 4 years I was riding without incident... about 15k of that was my daily commute to work through LA traffic, all in one year. The rest was pleasure riding.
