    I have done the same thing on my roof rack!!! Keeps the back free for other stuff! I like it!!!

    the only problem is .. i couldnt carry my atv or dritbike with a shell

    Have a custom ladder rack made over the bed and put the basket on top of that. Should save you some $ and if you build it high enough, the ATV and stuff may fit. Just don't have the security (albeit limited) of a camper shell.

    There are some nice setups out there, here's a couple favorites mostly from expeditionportal.com.

    That would look great, I think. Go-anywhere vehicle with the ability to bring your gear along for the ride. :thumbsup:

    If you had a long travel rear you'd have to go with the Glassworks bedsides to clear the the wheels and still maintain the smooth top of the bed for mounting the cap. No issues at all with that setup.

    i want spindles with about 5'' of lift and that roof rack from the op.
