those are really inexpensive. They look just like the ones I got for 150 shipped. if you get them make sure that the seller sends the correct bolts that mount the bars to the brackets and you will need to buy larger washers to mount everything up as the ones they send in the package are really small. there are four large washers in the package that work but the rest do not work that good.

I had to contact the seller and he then sent the correct bolts

also, the bars do not stick past the door much. I got the bars for my girlfriend and to help deter parked cars from hitting the side of the truck and hit the bar instead but I really do not think that they work to well for that, at the furthest point where the door sticks out the bars stick past 1/4 of an inch at most.

they also do not allow much clearance between the truck body and the bar so you have to really focus on sliding your foot upon the bar in order to get a good lift up. I have never used them to step up with but my girlfriend does sometimes

edit.. it looks like the ones I got are the ones in the first link you posted ( yep, truck fever ) though they are probably the same ones in both links. you might have better luck with the second link, ask about the bolts either way

when I searched ebay I searched nerf bars

They stick out probably about an inch further past the tire wall. After a year, they still look good.

Thanks. I used a 2' level and leveled off of the door where it stuck out the furthest and the bars stuck past 1/4 of an inch. I'll pull a string on the tires and check to see how far the bars stick out from that. I've seen some bars that stick out a lot but they are mostly the aluminum oval shape that are straight and do not turn back into the frame, do not really like those type..

Old Soul, you had me thinking about how far the bars stick out. From the pics I thought they did stick out some. I never really looked at them when I installed them. This morning as I'm walking from behind the truck, I then realized they don't stick out past the tire wall at all. They look flush with the tire wall. Sorry for the mis-information.

^ NP I tried to google nerf bars for door ding protection and did not find much.

A few days ago I found a ding with white paint smeared on my drivers side door the other day. it must have been a truck or suv because it was really high up on the door, was able to rub it out though.
