Anyone out there got side-facing work lights mounted without an overhead rack?

I've got an Access Cab with a soft topper and I've already installed a switch for the circuit and have some lights (4.2" diameter round LED low-depth floods), but my initial plan for mounting is looking kind of impossible. Looking for ideas, nothing's too crazy to consider (good luck topping what I've already come up with).

I'm trying to avoid having them above the roof. After the lift/tires I'm planning I'll be close on clearing some of the garages I get into frequently as it is.

I've been staring at the front corners of the bed since the topper sucks in narrower at the front than at the rear, but I can't quite visualize anything that quite fits. I'm starting to think about maybe putting them inside the topper (they're 1800 lumens each, should still get pretty usable light for 10-15 yards through the side window tint).

I think I've got it. Since these lights are only for when I'm not moving, I can mount them to spring clamps and just clip them on the sliders when I need them. I've already got weatherproof disconnects for the wiring

Or a plastic coated magnet and stick them in the side of the truck.

why not just get ditch mounts and face the light side ways and you can mount one for the front of the vehicle and also side ways with a adapter to mount two lights..

I've got my CB antenna on a ditch-mount bracket on the driver's side. I could do that on the pass side but for campsite tasks I'm guessing i'll want light on the driver's side most of the time (at one point I was considering using a secondary switch and a SPDT relay to only light one side of these at a time, but I'm thinking that might be over-complicating things now).

I have been looking into magnets to screw onto the light mounts as well. If I run the sockets to the base of the windshield, I could even throw them up as roof lights on short notice as well with some cable extensions strapped up the a-pillars on the outside.
