Side mount ladder rack for canoe?

    The same shit everyone else has.
    I'm still on the hunt for the perfect canoe rack for my truck... I've been kicking around using a roof rack and hitch mount "goal post" or headache rack & hitch mount "goal post".

    My newest bit of research lead me to a side mount ladder rack like so -

    After searching, I found a company that sells them for our trucks - http://www.worktrucksusa.com/servlet/Detail?no=529

    Seems like a decent design that is supposed to hold up to 250lbs.

    The canoe is 14ft long and weighs 100lbs.

    Does anyone use this method?
