I don’t think so. I just place a foot on them and step out.

A little, If I were wearing a suit I would be a little more careful since the texture of the step is rough. Im 6'0 so not really an issue getting past the step on the way out. maybe now I am used to where I need to step. I would measure where they sit for you, but my truck is in the body shop until later this week.

We added the N Fab Podiums to our Pro. Did not like the Predators. They function but are too clunky looking compared to the lines of the truck. The tube steps are worthless for an entry aid being too high and close to the cab. Have Amp Powersteps on my other truck but did not like that they do not retract out of sight on the Tacoma. They are the very best though for entry exit though if that is what you are after. Lots of choices but only you can decide what you like best.

N/P Ill measure it when i get it back including the height of the wheel well. I have a fox 2.0 suspension and 275/70/17's with 1/3rd tread remaining.

Any links to these ? To clarify you are saying they are better for entry /exit than predators ?
    Thanks !

They are not really any different for entry / exit than the Predators. I said didn't like the look of the Predators. To me they are too clunky being that they are squared off. The Podiums are more rounded but the function of both is about the same. N Fab also makes a Predator step which is very similar to the OEMs. Maybe they even make for OEM, don't know for sure. Most manf do not make their own accessories, they are outsourced.

Here is the manf page. I shopped around for the best price.

    Thank you!

Yeh in my FJ Cruiser trail Team (factory sliders), I bought two Nfab steps for use, it was easy.

Do you have picture from sitting in driver seat looking down, to show how much it sticks out ?

I'd take one for you but not at home. Here they are at an angle though.

They don’t look like a good option for off-road in this photo.

No, probably not. They hang down but a little less than the OEM Predators. Don't think I'd want any that hung down if off-roading.

I currently have the westin HDX side steps that also drop lower like the predator steps. i for one am not a fan of running boards they just look clunky to me.But the Westin side steps are way more heavy duty and better looking then the stock predator steps. i always end up taking them off and they become a piece of the garage.

Very similar. Just the actual step seems to be a little more reinforced on his. I had these on my 2015 but went with sliders for my 2021.

The Podiums have a 3" tube along the body, a step that your shoe can't slip through, and are made from stainless. The ones in the Amazon link are called Nerf Steps. The body side tube is 2" and there is a plate welded onto the rung. Think they also offer a 3" in that style but that's not what is in the link. They are also made from regular steel.

If you like any of them, the best bet is to go to the website and get the actual part number of the one you like and search it that way. N Fab offers many styles.

IMHO, the 3" tube make a big difference no matter the brand. 2" looks lost.

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned, FYI the Predator steps are at risk of getting ripped off if off-road since they're attached to the body and not the frame (like traditional rock sliders would be). I've seen some nasty pics of the steps getting torn right off by a big hole, etc.

I just put 5 degree RCI sliders on last weekend, they are heavy but sturdy as hell and the angle allows my short girlfriend to get into the truck easier. I'll take some pictures later and attach to this thread.

I really liked my 2” ones. I wanted them to have that look that they were a little off the cab, not looking attached. Never had any issues using them.
