Thank you. As to size, everyone likes something different. Lots of options, pick what you like best.

The thread topic was calling my name, as I've been thinking about some type of RBs or Nerfs w/dropped steps. Westin, in Stainless, was one I considered.

Today while in town, I was sitting at a stoplight, when another 20/21 Tacoma crossed in front through the light. My light turned green, and I never moved. I turned on my left blinker, in chase mode to catch that truck. I got him to stop and pull over about a mile away. He had the N-Fab Podium/SS. And we're they sexy. The owner let me climb in/out of the driver's seat to test. I like them. They're now on my list of must have, for my Taco Asphalt Sled.

    For the Long Bed.
Now Available in Wheel to Wheel w/ Bed Access (6 steps.)

Mr. Woodsy, after a few exchanges of conversation in other threads, I gave up my 5 week old running boards for the ones you have linked. I like them a lot more than the runners. These are much better for getting out of the vehicle. The tiny truck is not so much too tall for me to get in and out, but I conscientiously use the steps to keep from sliding in and out across the edge of the seat. That is my use of the steps. These are just right for the Tacoma.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

I like the steps much more than the boards.

This is my reasoning, mainly, for steps.
I found that the side edge of the seat, gets pinched on the plastic trim where the seat adjustments are. I have leather, and since the truck was new, the door facing side of the seat bottoms, show the only wear.

And the runningboard/steps add character to the truck.

I have the OEM 5" oval nerf bars on mine (see picture). To be honest, I don't use them as steps getting into and out of the truck. They're more for appearance, and for some minimal protection against parking lot dings.

I wouldn't get the Predator steps because of ground clearance issues.

Agree the NFab Podium is great looking. THe other member (@ToyoProTaco )here posted it on this thread (last page on his PRO). However, I don't like the 6 steps. I think that looks silly. 4 steps look proper, even on a LB

My choice will be made, dependent if I decide to get racks on top of the canopy, which I still have not decided.

    makes sense!

NFAB podium are about $430. Used predators are $350 (locally)

The stainless, which I'm not necessarily sold on, they're even more. They need to be made of Aluminum, then powder coated, IMO

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic end caps from the predator steps? I want to repaint them but I just can't pull them off. I've removed the screw and I still can't pull pry them off?? I don't want to forcefully pull them off and damage them. Thanks!

Probably not popular opinion as many/most Toyos in my area have side steps, but I don’t like them.
I’m 5’4” and stepping on them to get in launched my head into the door frame, while trying to avoid them got mud all over my pants.
Something to consider if you’re in a muddy area.

Mine came w the truck and I gave them a chance, but ended up selling them.

These, if you don't need or care about the protection that sliders offer.
They have built on lighting and just look very clean.
Wire a on off switch if you do some off road trips and don't want them opening on obstacles. 20210109_213007.jpg
