Are these the sidesteps you're speaking of?
Is the kit for both sidesteps?
Out of curiosity, which mounting point is the aluminum block for?

    Thanks for showing a solution.

I've been looking at doing this ever since I brought the truck home from the dealer! The factory installed parts turned out to be poorly designed - even my wife's tiny toes won't hang on the dumb things - and as delivered they don't provide enough of a lower step point to do much good.

    Is one inch drop enough?

Yes, those are one of the variations of the steps that these work with. They're also the exact same steps my truck has.

edit: The block that requires special attention is the most forward bolt on the side closest to the frame. That bolt is at a different angle than all of the others. I first lowered my steps without putting anything in the one bolt hole but I decided if I wanted to sell it as a kit I should put added effort into it and add that special drilled aluminum block.

Thank you for the inquiry and the bump.

It's amazing to me that Toyota put the actual step where they did so close to the body of the truck.

A one inch drop is the lowest amount of drop that can be achieved without seeing the blocks and looking goofy by being able to see the blocks. My size 14 shoe fits just fine and I haven't yet accidentally kicked the rocker panel using the steps.

My wife really appreciates the steps and the lowering of the steps with my truck's big tires and lift. Belinda (my wife) commented on the change without me telling her that I lowered them! "Did you do something different with these steps?"

Thank you for the inquiry and the bump.

I see you have a photo of it installed in your other thread. If it's not too much to ask, how about a photo of it directly from the side so that I may gauge how low it is.

Since my truck is all black and has mods it is not a good demo vehicle for online viewing for what you're wanting to see. This kit lowers the side steps an inch lower than stock.

I'm going to give it a try as you have an excellent warranty on your kit. PM incoming.

Thank you. I'll have more parts available in the future with the exact same warranty.

Bump up. How I wish you'd do another run on these. Thanks for the consideration.

I did forget to delete one of the listings. Bummer. I do not have any plans to make more of them.
