I've had the Weston Gen X Stainless for a year and they come with life time warranty... Have been great so far...

Hey OP the thing to do is find some one that has running boards installed and ask how they like them and see if you can get in and out of their truck a few times.
My truck had OEM boards and I did not like how they always hit mi calf on the way out. They were also mounted to close to the cab and dis not provide a big enough perch for my foot to get in. I felt like it was going to slip off all the time.
I ran into a guy with sliders and asked him how he liked them. We started talking about design ,brand , protection so on and so on. He was cool enough to let me jump in his truck a few times. The sliders had a better platform to get in but it hit my calf just like the OEM boards did.
During a Craigslist buy the guy had a Tacoma with the N Fab Bars and I was again able to get in and out of his truck. Well that was the ticket. Good perch for your left foot when getting in and no scrape on the left calf when getting out. For me the NFab's did the job.

Local tw member via Craigslist. They sell them all over the Web. Just Google nfab step bars.
I highly doubt it and would only use them as a last resort in a pinch.
