Just bought some side steps off craigslist, The guy told me they came off his 07 DC longbed. I have a 05 DC shortbed, once I matched them up to my truck they look really long and I cannot see how they bolt up. Last I need to buy the bolts, originals were lost. Please look at the pics and tell me if I got the wrong set up. Also any help on the manufacturer of the the tube steps.

I think I just found them on the Toyota accessories website, looks like they are only for a DC longbed.... Dam!!! I have photos of them on a box next to the truck, I will try and reduce them down so I can post them, looks like I will be selling these.

They're the same thing that you have there, but they'll actually fit your truck.

I can take some pics if you want, let me know

Additionally guys what type of bolts do I need to buy for these longbed tubes??? I will need to sell them and I want to include everything in the sale. Size and length of the bolt would be very helpful, also do I need to go high tensile strength

Don't know about size and length, but some good quality grade 8 bolts should be strong enough.

If your a DIY guy couldn't you just chop a section off and reattach the end? Think of them as custom step sides....

No chopping, the wife likes the way they curve back into the truck.... chopping them would make them straight

Okay I'll just put it in a new post but what I meant was
    1) chop out the section inside the yellow box.
    2) move the end down and attach to the new point and then you'd still have the curve at the end.

    Jahftb,
Thanks for the pic... that type of mod is way over my man skills. They are made out of some type of aluminum... I would be better off selling these and getting what I need. Thanks again for the idea!!!
