So, I was taking my Brother-in-law to the hospital last night when someone decided to make a right turn on red as I was entering the intersection ON A GREEN LIGHT and hit me. He did some damage to my front passenger side, I am looking to figure out the cost of repairs. I will need to replace a few parts for sure, and also my Traction control light (the truck with squiggles under it) is remaining illuminated. I am thinking he may have caused a misalignment of my front end since when holding the steering wheel straight i drift to the left. I was looking to get help. I am sure I will need to repaint parts of it and hammer out the dent he caused. Any ideas from you lot will be VERY helpful. Florida is a 'no fault' state, so insurance will likely blame the one with less damage (AKA Me, since i drove a Tacoma and the car that hit me was an Accord) and I have a 2K deductible (2k outta pocket before they even start paying). I am sure he filed a claim, but I can't get the crash report til Monday so no use filing the claim til than. But if I don't have to ask insurance to pay I will happily do so.

    Here are the Pics:IMG_20230923_020256381_HDR.jpg IMG_20230923_020305339.jpg IMG_20230923_020332328_HDR.jpg IMG_20230923_020358929_HDR.jpg IMG_20230923_145013160.jpg IMG_20230923_145225723_HDR.jpg

    Thank you, Sam

Let your insurance fix it,with the body damage and possible steering damage, its going too cost a lot more than your deductible too fix the truck.

I'm not a body man but I have spent a lot of time hammering out dents. With the sharp creases on that fender, it would cost way more in labor to try to make that thing look decent even from 10 feet than just getting a replacement fender. With the flare, bumper trim and looks like also bumper shell being plastic and not realistically repairable, you're looking at more than 2k easy for new OEM parts/paint.

You might look at an LKQ fender, flare, and bumper shell and get lucky on the paint color. Replacing them yourself isn't super difficult but does require a fair amount of disassembly and patience.

As for the steering, you may get lucky and just need an alignment. Check your tie rods and check your alignment tabs - bent tie rods are easy, bent alignment tabs are more of a hassle.

My insurance hasn't even come to check out my truck or even called me. His insurance called me and asked for information but no further word from them either. I am sick of twiddling my thumbs, should I call the insurance companies. My claim shows $0 to him and $0 to me so far. The claim states collision on my end and property damage on his, is that good or bad?

did you call the cops? Did they say who is at fault? can you get a camera from intersection to show who is at fault?

Florida is a "no-fault" state apparently, so it's up to the insurance companies who is 'at-fault'. No intersection Camera either.

    Ouch, took a beating there.

An aside, I'd invest in a dashcam. Especially being in a no fault state and having 2k deductible.
