This is likely something I'll be addressing with my dealer. My '13 DCLB windows won't wipe clear when I lower them all the way, then raise them. The "seal" (or whatever it's called) touches the window when it is fully raised, but the window moves away from it when it gets lowered. It's like this to some degree on all 4 windows. I'm hopeful there's an adjustment the dealer can do to make this right. Hard to imagine this being considered quality work. Anyone else experience this? See pics for reference.

Mine on my '04 never do. It's never been a big issue for me though.

you have to figure that if they wiped the whole window all the way down they would wear out pretty quick too....and then chatter :)

2011.... same. Wipe before you get in. Judging by your mirrors, you should wipe those as well, and there is no short-cut for them.

My passenger side does this too. Never noticed it as a manufacturing defect though.

That isn't what the seal is for BTW. It is to keep water out of the door when it is raining and the window is up.

Do not complain to the dealer, you will just embarrass yourself.

    fixed that for you...:)
Plenty of water gets down in the window.
That's why it smells funky when the windows are down...or at least
mine does. Moisture gets trapped in there.

Mine has never wiped the windows when going up or down since new either.
When going up or down, I have to push my hand against the window to push it out a little
so it will make contact with the rubber strip.

Also the motors in the windows are not very good imo.
My windows will not come down if there is even a little bit
of ice/frost on them...and i live in NC.

My passenger side window makes a weird rattle when going up or down too.
I need to have a look inside the door to see what is up with that,
sounds like the plastic/whatever gear in there needs lubing...
or maybe it is worn out and chattering like fixer5000 is saying?

Anyway, save yourself the effort with the dealer...it's the way they are.

Mine wipe, and my motor will snap quite a bit of ice off the window in a big thud!

Thanks for the responses, folks. I guess I'm the one who's been duped all these years by other vehicles, old and new, that wiped the outside of the windows as they were rolled down. My bad.

ALL vehicles get some moisture in the doors, That is why they have drain holes in the bottom. Maybe yours are plugged, you may want to check.
