The frame being dented would scare me more then the bodywork depending on how bad the dent is.

Wait until next school year starts and see if a local community college in your area has an auto body class. Give the students a project.

You just pay for materials from what I understand.

OP, you're probably already paying a higher premium on your truck because it is a 4x4. I know most insurance companies do it that way because of the higher risk for off road activities. With damages like you have it's a no brainer but to claim it, let us know what damages come up to.

Well shit man, I got the estimate back. It's coming in at $2,254.79.

I don't have a lot of faith in the estimate, however. They provided the estimate from pictures alone through my insurance app on my phone. I did take pretty extensive pics, but I can't help but think they missed something.

I'll take it in to where I'm going to have it repaired and see what they have to say.

I think the guy who bid $1.00 probably takes the cake man... I don't recall anyone guessing below $2,500.

Dang I wish you would have told us you where doing it by phone. I would never do that. The two body shop estimates I got were around $2500 so I think you could fix it for that.

If your body shop needs more money to fix it they just have to fill out a form

Yeah, that's why I did it. It doesn't matter if the estimate is wrong.. whoever is repairing it just has to contact my insurance to get more money. I wanted to take it in, but the lady talked me into using the stupid app. It did save me a trip to their body shop over lunch which helped out. Last claim I had several years ago, they just sent a guy to me at work and he did it in like 10 minutes in the parking lot. That's what I was hoping for!

    Insurance.

I sent them like 10 pictures from all angles and they sent me the estimate 3 hours later.

I just called them and told them to toss this estimate, I want someone to lay eyes on it. The only part they've included in the estimate is a door handle!

I'm not sure they can repair these dents. They apparently didn't even see the minor dent in the frame...

F'ing WORTHLESS! Wasted another day on this BS.

Don't ever get an estimate like this. I got better effort from fellas on TW wingin' it with much less info...

    Game on!

my standard body work initial guesstimate is $1000 per panel scratched, dinged, or bent, if there's no frame or other internal damage. add in cost of any fixtures (tail lights, etc) that need repalcing but they are cheap compared with Repair&Paint....
