LOL, Well that is what I get for buying from an unknown private party. I am going to just say fuggit and get something from Amazon. But now I am torn between a superwinch and a warn. Seems that the superwinch offers more bang for my buck and more protection from the elements for what I can afford.

Superwinch. I've heard decent things about the M8000 but it seems a lot of Warns solenoids blow. Superwinches Alrbright solenoid on the other hand seems to be the best.

the one I linked to you has great reviews as well. It's what I'd get if I didn't have the XRC8

That is the one I was looking at. I needed something that is really well protected from the elements, as you know what kind of crazy shit I like to put my truck through and how often. Also I want to go synthetic and being they built it just for that... And for the money I was looking at spending less than 800.

It was a warn m8000 from a 3rd party via an Amazon seller and I was told it was shipped and on its way, called to verify location and found the tracking was bs. Checked bank and funds never left... called the guy and he said he did not have it anymore..... Cluster F*ck of weird ness.... emailed amazon support with his info to complain. Thank god I checked and did not get charged. Deal I guess was really too good to be true

I was looking at the Talon series or the warn . So far I am leaning towards the talon just because of the element protection. I run my huskies in the snow during the winter about 5 days a week and am in the worst conditions you could imagine daily. Would be nice to have a little extra protection.
I here that! Now I have more money to spend with yoU!

Then get the Talon 9.5 SR...the sealed solenoid would be a big selling point for me if I was up in the snow on the daily. The line they have on it is supplied by Viking Winchline. If you call that place I linked they might be able to get the SR its not on there yet and still get that $55 off.

I am going to try cause the one I am looking at is the 9.5isr. IF I could get an extra 55 off + free shipping that would save me some great coin. So far the best price I could find was 1100 shipped. Hoping I can get it down a little lower. My budget was for 800 + 200 for syn line and 100 for a snatch block. But I could do this one and wait on the snatch block for a month or so!

I need to call Superwinch and see if the standard Talon can have the solenoid relocated. I wanted the (i) initially but found out I couldn't relocated the solenoid.

    http://www.amazon.com/Superwinch-09...00?SubscriptionId=AKIAJWHIFVQ2LOGQYHJQ&creat=

These were in-stock the other day, they pop up every few days.

If you decide to not go SW the Warn 9.5xp is pretty similar and like 1,060 shipped right now. One of the Portland guys ordered that one, he was on the fence as us about winches. Think the local Warn repair center sealed the deal.

Oh I did not know that. I thought you were able to relocate. ?? I wish we had a shop locally that had an idea of what they were talking about rather than being a bunch of dumb rednecks looking to get whatever cash they can. THey dont really help but rather offer up 3 choices, crap, crap, and decent at a crazy marked up price.
