How to remove the thing that doesn't let you operate the trigger on a Sig Sauer Mosquito when a magazine is not properly inserted in the gun. this is for educational purposes only, attempt at your own will. i am not responsible for your actions.

    tools you will need:

    -Drill (on lowest setting)
    -small flat screw driver
    -5/64 drill bit
    -1/16 or 3/32 punch
-pin block (a small block of wood with a hole in it will work also)
-straight dental pick (straightened paper clip will work also)
-you might want your smallest mallet to help you with the punch
-some balls to attempt minor gun smithing

no idea. i feel as if it's like us buying a 4th gen glock with the single shot exemption and selling back the parts that make it single shot and installing true parts. cause that's not illegal.

You should tell that to the gun shop that was making grenades and automatic weapons near my house.

The feature being altered is a manufacture safety device. Not only will this completely void the warranty, this can possible lead to an accidental discharge. That being said, Im not sure how this falls into the site rules, as this IS against ATF rules.

This is probably one of those things that will never cause you trouble as a responsible gun owner IF you keep it off the internet.

Yes. And the mag safety is on ALL Sig mosquitos, and many other semi-auto pistols.

Closed pending moderator discussion, and to see if this is against site rules. If the thread is found to be fine, then it will be re opened. If its found tto be against site rules (Ilegal, or against ATF regs.) then it will be deleted. As of right now, I can not find anything citting this mod as a criminal violation, it certainly seems to make the owner liable in a civil matter, if the fire arm discharges and strikes personal property causing damage, injury, or death.

Ok. For now, thread re opened. However, this DOES in fact void all warranties on the fire arm, and DOES open the owner up for a civil liability case if a discharge causes property damage, injury or death.

cool that you figured this out but, i don't think that modifying firearms is that smart of an idea. i think people most people probably couldn't and shouldn't do this or any modification to any firearm. these safety measures are built into this weapon because the law mandates it in the region the weapon was sold so to modify it to remove it is not only illegal but, unsafe imo.

chris i would delete this thread before someone tries this who has never worked on guns before thinks it's "cool" then hurts or kills themselves accidentally.

i don't mean to offend the op in anyway. i just don't think it's a great idea to post a how to of removing a safety feature of this or any weapon especially when it violates laws.

edit: this is in fact illegal correct?

it's not. since last year or so Communist California has added several new rules to it's CA approved list. and one of the rules is that the manufacturer has to have this feature on their firearms. every time a gun company comes out with a new gun, they must pay a fee and tax and send several of their new products to Sacramento for testing. (this is why the Glock Gen4's are not allowed in CA) Glock did not want to add this feature to it's 4th gen. however their are loopholes for a CA resident to purchase and own a Glock Gen4. the loop hole is to have it sold to you as a single shot with a 7"+ barrel and after you receive it you remove those parts and sell it privately or back to your seller for credit towards the original parts. and this it totally legal. this is the same concept as that.

probably so when your cleaning the weapon if you did not clear it properly i will not discharge on you. i'm also sure there are other scenarios that this plays to as well thats just the first one that comes to mind.

to be honest i actually believed my usp compact had this feature as well. the restricted capacity is kind of gay but, i'm not really sure why you would want to delete this feature on a gun any way what purpose does this serve you?

oh it doesn't mess anything up. its not attached to anything but the frame with a single rivet. it just moves into place when the magazine drops. open yours up, just look at it. there's nothing to it.
