Nice, Ya from what I hear those front stock skid plates are pretty weak, but they look good. I wouldn't mind having the bed extender specially with the short bed. Maybe once I find some extra money. I know your week is going slow as hell since your picking it up on Saturday! And black is going to look nice! I love the look of black, just hate trying to keep it clean! Does it come with a color matched grill or is it chrome like the off roads?

Im excited to see pics... as I mentioned in my last post, I was not able to find a DC on the lot to look at. I like the rims. (I think it's about time Toyota offered something different in the wheel department.) =)

What does the T/X stand for? I really did think it stood for Texas, feel like a moron now.

In previous years we had the "Texas Edition" Tacomas that came with 20's. Outside of Texas they were called TSS's. So I just figured this package replaced that but kept a similar name.

Yeah, the skid plate is only 1/8" aluminum. Not much protection, but looks count for something. The grill is the chrome one. I would love to have the color matched black. Heck, maybe I might find someone that might want to trade.
I might now be able to get it now until Monday. I have to be out of town for work for the weekend. I will see if I can get it earlier.

Congrats on the new cool truck.

Those bashing the OP for spending the extra bucks on the TX package are jealous or ignorant.

If those who believe the package is not worth the money...then, why buy an OR or sport when you can buy an SR5 4x4 instead.

Hell, why not buy a 2 wheel drive 5 lugger. lol

Not in your list of mods or your avatar, and you don't have build thread link...what am I a psychic?

Also, note the word "seems" in my previous post.

Congrats, Black Sheep! Here are photos of mine. I love it and feel it was worth what I paid for it dispite what others think. Looking forward to seeing pictures of yours. I'm sure you will be as happy as I am.

    I just got it!

Unfortunately, it stands for "Tacoma eXtreme."

I think it's awesome, though. It's a bit silly how costly it is for those extras, but I think they're badass. There's no such thing as a T|X in Canada. We can't even get an Access Cab TRD OR or a Double Cab TRD Sport!

There's like 2 Tacoma's to pick from up here it seems.

Congrats on the new truck! I'm stoked for you.

...What happened to your hood scoop? Does the T|X not have one? I'm confused.

haha, they cut through the mud though!

ran her through some mud that my whole underside scraped the top layer of mud the whole way....i think it turned out to be some guys crop field...no, i didnt mess up his crops, was just mud and some cut up plant parts

didnt air down or anything...didnt even come close to being stuck

was not fun to clean...afterwards, my entire engine skid plate was solid mud...on the top side of it, had to drop the skid to get it all cleaned up
