My son test drove a new 2023 TRD Sport today. I drove separately to dealer and was following him for about 3/4 mile from parking lot (going home) while he was test driving with salesman. There was a significant amount of liquid coming out of the tailpipe for 1/2 mile or so. It eventually stopped. There was no smoke , indicative of coolant from a failed head gasket. I texted him and he checked the coolant overflow when back at dealer , which was normal level. He also smelled the tailpipe for fuel smell, there was none. The truck had the XP Predator package on it and the exhaust sounded deeper than my 2016. I have never seen so much liquid exiting a tailpipe. Anyone ever seen this?

Yep. Cold engine, cold pipe, high humidity, air warming.
Normal. How many vehicles do you follow on a regular basis that you pay attention to the tailpipe?
This is not a Tacoma question. This is a general automotive question.

I figured as much. I really don’t pay attention to other cars like this. It was impressive. With no smoke or smell, I assumed condensation. Thanks

    Nothing to worry about.

Good luck to your son with his purchase.

Likely first actual "drive" other than repeated micro trips and start / stops... = Lots of accumulated condensation in the pipes' low spots.

    A non-issue, I believe...

Water vapor byproduct is produced from catalytic converter converting exhaust gases to less toxic gasses. Water dripping from the pipe is normal and more so when cold is normal because the vapor condenses on the cold piping and drips out.

Water is a sign of a good running engine and a properly working catalytic converter.

You don't want to do that since the contamination from East Palestine train derailment has traveled its way to the Lone Star land per the news.
