WTF, that is insane. I've seen leaks on windows/etc but that appears to not be a window issue at all.

Edit. could it be the air intake under the hood and the piping/ducting is cracked allow water to enter the cab? Maybe check where he cabin air filter is.

Nevermind the lemon law for now, lets try to solve the problem. All of these threads result in take Toyota to court new truck/etc. Shit happens on new vehicles from time to time, and the offending party (dealer, manufacture) by law has a responsibility to fix the truck in a timely manner. If they are not able to do so then the lemon law/other means become available and the customer can then inact it if it falls under the parameters laid out in said law. Going around waving the flag from the start just labels the customer as a trouble maker and wins no favors from the dealer/Toyota, nor does it help anyone else whom may be having this issue on a truck that maybe out of warranty.

Now back to seeing what the potential issue is with the water leak.

    Regards

    Steve

Same here from time-to-time... my truck is garaged at work and home so it only sits out in the rain on some weekends or when driving but there seems to be a certain angle at which some water makes its way onto my floorboard from behind the glove box area. never been a huge deal to stress about since it's been pretty minor, rare, and contained within the mat but now that I'm out of basic warranty period I'm thinking I should have done more proactively to address this. look forward to a how-to fix this :)

Hope you told the buyer about the issue instead of just handing it off to someone else .

Fuck NO I traded it for a 2019 T4R TRD Off Road.... These issues are now for the dealer to deal with not me!

As documented with my 2017 TRD Off Road ..

    1) Vibrations in steering wheel 11 visits (Toyota corp that is normal)
    2) Trans issues with erratic shifting 8 visits (Toyota corp that is normal)
    3) Leaking differential to where it was leaving stains on the garage floor 6 visits (Toyota that's seepage and again that is normal)
    4) In April Howling rear Differential started 3 visits(Toyota Corp again that is normal)
    5) Leak passenger side dash ( let toyota tell the next owner that's normal)

    May 5th 2019 dumped it for a 2019 TRD Off Road T4R.....

    I mean. I'm calling bullshit.

All you have to do is spray water on the truck and it pours into the cab, and the dealer can't find it?

You should be able to track this with human eyes and a garden hose. This is massively and hugely debuggable. Am I missing something?

edit: seriously, sometimes it takes me 3 tries to figure out which way a ratchet is turning, but...

This is what I was thinking as far as finding it. just put a garden hose on low pressure so it trickles, and then watch where the water goes as you slowly move it across the windshield. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

I had this issue on an old civic. Enough dirt had collected under the cowling to make a dam allowing the water to pool up until it drained down into the HVAC air intake. That car was over 20 years old though, not likely to be the culprit on a new truck.

Yeah, I kinda think some low-level tech decided to swap out the windshield without any real debugging effort. This happens a lot on new cars (they just keep parting-out shit until problems go away, because it's easier and more cost-effective that diagnosing).

In this case, I mean, there's a gaping hole somewhere and it's totally findable.
