Not sure how to word this but...
I live in east Tennessee and if I wanted to purchase a Tacoma, out of state, the way I want it, w/o having to order it, am I going to pay extra taxes, plates etc? I don't mind going out of state, within reason, to get a truck. I hate this shortage of trucks and by the time I get things in order, I'll be looking at an SR5 for 50 grand. BTW, wanting a 4wd TRD OR or Sport in Army Green with the Premium package, Tech package and the LED headlights if possible. I hate waiting on people so I can get my truck...lol My wife is inheriting my 2020 Camry SE Nightshade so she's getting anxious too.

Thank you for any and all help.

When you buy out of state, they will factor in sales tax, license and registration for the state you live in (assuming that you're financing all of that). They will then send all of that to your state's DMV. You should get a notification that it's been paid/ready and you can go in and get your plates and registration. It's actually pretty simple. Good luck in your hunt! They (tacomas) are getting scarcer by the day.

You will pay what your taxes and fees are in your state . The purchase price will be what they are selling it for .

I live in GA and bought my truck in TN. Sales tax was calculated for GA. I bought a truck in SC previously and it was the same. Should just be the tax for the state where the vehicle will be registered. Both of my out of state purchases were smooth and easy.
