If I remember correctly, yes. I mounted it on the plastic on the passenger side behind the grille. Its held up so far for the last two years. Also, it makes it a lot easier to plug in the remote. I saw someone make a bracket to mount it on the center near the hood latch.

Awesome build. Very tasteful mods imo. I’m looking to build a very similar build in the near future with a few things done differently. Following.

I made the knock of Prinsu Rack. I ordered the extruded aluminum from tnutz.com and used to pieces of aluminum for the side Total was about $250 instead of $650 from Prinsu. Unique Fabrication made the bed rack. They are located in Southern California.

It was a friend of a friend deal. I’m not sure what he would charge for the average joe.

Awesome build! Thanks for documenting it.

Does the bed rack hinge over on those joints?

Yes it is possible, no i would not do it. You definitely would need a friend or two to support it while hinged over. You would not want the weight of the rack to be supported by the truck bedside. I designed it this way so it would be easy to remove the entire thing. With the help of someone I can have the entire rack and softopper off within a few minutes.
