    ^can I suggest the walpole ferry crossing...more spendy 12 bux per crossing but shorter wait time.

    Saturday July 29 - Meijer in Ft Gratiot around 0900 - Holly Oaks ORV Park around 1200 - stay at Fairfield Inn & suits in Grand Blanc
    Sunday July 30 - Rocks and Valleys ORV around 1030 – stay Fairfield Inn & Suites in Mt Pleasant
    Monday July 31 – Silver Lake Dunes – around 0900 – stay Dunes Express and Suites in Hart or American Host Inn
    Tuesday Aug 1 – Tentative - Manistee Forest exploring – stay Super 8 in Big Rapids

    i will be at Holly Oaks earlier Saturday but also need to leave late afternoon to make a concert in Sterling Heights. i should be meeting up again at Rocks & Valleys Sunday morning and then probably head to Manistee Nat'l forest to camp Sunday night before the dunes and Monday night after. lots of great public land camping in West MI i like to take advantage of when i am there.

    i have been over a couple times since the construction started and the wait times were minimal early morning like 7-8am and terrible by 10am and after. YMMV
