Hi guys-I know there are a ton of threads asking "what color is the best", or "what do you have". I am in the position to buy a taco soon. I had a black 99' and loved it, and after a few cars and suv im ready to get back into a pick up.
heres my situation-i intially wanted a black access cab. after doing some soul searching, i realized a double cab is the most logical setup for me. the problem with black (in my eyes), is that it doesnt appeal to me as much as a dc.
silver-i had a silver 4runner. i think it looks better on the 4runner with the contrast of all the black glass. i loved how clean it was and scratch free. but everyone has a silver (which isnt an issue) but i think i just got overwhelmed with them and they dont catch my eye.
white-never thought it would, but its growing on me. at first i thought utility and girly (again-my opinion). but i saw a few trd's and think the black accents and trd stickers make it look sweet. i also hated the hood scoop but now like it oddly enough, but only on the white.

what i am looking for are guys that were or are in a similar situation. i need help just on these colors-dont care for any other. did you get one and wish you got the other? has one grown on you? what made it easier for you to decide?

thanks-ive never felt this indecisive in my life!

I vote white. If I had another chance, that is what I would choose.

Michelin 265/75/16 MS2's, Grillcraft MX series/TOYOTA badging. FJ/SE TRD Anthracite gray wheels. Katzkin leather/heated seats.
Partial here to pyrite mica...you get more than one color...bronze, light titanium, brown, just depends on the sun. Never cared for black, always seems to show swirl marks in the paints clearcoat no matter how careful you are when washing and waxing. Had a white truck once, never again as it only stayed clean for a few hours after a good wash, bugs dig white.

Silver not bad at all. Was always one of my first choices. I guess I got burned out on it....its your choice. I am digging the P/M due to its everchanging contrast in the sun. The bottom line is what makes you happy. Best of luck!

    back to bone stock.
i have silver. in my area, it is the most popular color by far. it is the only reason that color sucks. having said that, it is the easiest color to take care off. i went to tuscon, wheeled, hunted..and just washed it. i went months.

    I vote white.

I've had several black vehicles and I do think they look the best, BUT they are very hard to keep clean, show scratches easily, and are hot in the summer. This time around I chose white and love it!
