Looks like Lunar Mist Metallic or Silver Streak Mica. Silver can be difficult to match perfectly but that's way off.

Passenger side is the repainted bumper cap.

Driver side is he factory cap.

Really appreciate all the comments as body and paint work I have no knowledge of. I knew there had to be some answers and not settle for the shops shrugging their shoulders saying I’m just going to need to settle that it will never match

plastic and metal don't really ever match up. You try to get it as close as possible. At some shop i have work they have a sign from the paint manufacturer saying that. Some painter say waterbase colors match a little better. If i remember I think Toyota use that.

That ^^^ should be able to from Toyota parts department. They are costy but that paint they put on there, well hahahahahaha not even close. Aren't they testing the color BEFORE painting the part?? If so looks like colored blind. Seriously not even close.

Do this PLATE BUMPER - no more worries about plastic shit crap bumper. And no worries about someone (or you) messing up the plate bumper. I have one same shit happened to me. After plate bumper, surprised I never have to worry about it anymore. People dont bang my bumper in the parking lot anymore either. Imagine it must be all that metal that turns people off on bumping when parking. Problems solved.

I don't believe this to be entirely true. Especially on a newer vehicle where the paint is still absent of fade from prolonged exposure to the elements. I've had an Artic Silver 1997 BMW M3 that had some rear quarter panel damage from a car that hit me skidding in the snow and the factory paint matched perfectly. I've also had a 2002 Dodge Durango that needed the driver side door repainted after a minor accident and it matched perfectly.

It kinda looks like it matches the fender flares.

I had a similar accident as the OP 2 months after buying my truck. Body shop did repair to the rear drivers side panel. The body shop did an excellent job on matching the silver sky paint on the first try, couldn't see any difference.

Service parts from the factory are generally "paint ready". This allows the OEM to hold 1 part in inventory and also allows the factory to spray all of the panels with similar paint batches.

Most of panels do not come painted. Same for bumpers and things like rear view mirror covers. When a paint spec is created at the design phase, they have multiple ranges of greens, blues, yellows and any given batch at the factory can fall on any end of those spectrums. Making the parts paint ready not only helps the automaker with inventory control but also should help the body shop match whatever batch was used on the car in the first place.

+1....The experience of the painter and body shop goes A LONG WAY to getting a near perfect match - even on silver. I would do your research and find the best shop in your area if you want it done right. I have had a number of vehicles with difficult to match paint and my go-to shop has got it right every time. Never a repaint.

    All -

Thank you very much for all of the responses and sorry for the lack of response on my end had some stuff going on at work that I was traveling with so this kind of got pushed to the side till now. I'm attaching a picture from the body shop let me know what everyone thinks. The top is the new piece and the bottom is the original. I think the new one looks pretty good minus some shadows from the lighting. I'll send a picture of it back on the truck tonight.

Thanks again for everyone's input. Maybe a plate bumper down the road have to put a cover on the back before winter comes to our neck of the woods this fall.

Give that painter a six pack. Only an experience painter can blend.

Looks much better. Pop that lonely V6 badge off before you have fading and it's too late. I took mine off right away. It just looks silly floating out there in no man's land all by itself.

Thanks I agree it looks much better.

Never paid attention to the V6 badge till you just said it. Guessing pull it off on a hot day and a lil adhesive remover to get the glue off?

Fishing line. I heated it up with a hair dryer first. You don't want to pry or it could scratch the paint. The fishing line slides right behind,
then it falls off. Pick the adhesive off, then take some bug and tar remover to remove the residue. Takes about 15-20 minutes. Looks so much better in my opinion. I've never debadged any vehicle before, but that emblem was just too strange.
