dude, your bumper is bolted to the frame right?? its wayy beefier than any hitch,, you can just get some fab guy to put a hitch in behind the lisence plate that will pull just as much as factory ho hitch

Yea, If I do that I want it bolted to the frame again come off the bottom of the frame to a hitch box and throught the bumper behind the plate and need ground clearance.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.

can the mounting plates be relocated to go "over" the hitch? widened? what i'm thinking is cut mount plates off...move outward...3/8" on either side, get longer bolts, then bolt through the bumper and fac. hitch with longer bolts. this theory may be way off as i'm speculating.

The problem isnt the mounting its how much the factory hitch hangs down on the new bumper so Im goin to have a custom one made work work with the new bumper.

I'm looking into getting the same bumper as you, but I need to keep my hitch. Would I be able to use the OEM hitch and just have it be ugly, or would it not work without some welding, drilling, and grinding?

Your goin to have to buy the hitch with the bumper, The stock one hangs down about 2-3 inches from the bottom of the bumper, Its not worth tryin to keep the stock, Pain in the ass cutting and welding it back up.
