For the LT or LTZ trim packages, I like the looks of the Chevy a bit better. For the lesser trim packages, I like the GMC.

Basically the same truck just different trims and different looks.
I have owned several Chevy products S-10's, 1500's and one 2500 and never had a problem. The last one was in 2001.

Like everyone else says, same truck, little different inside. I have an LTZ Tahoe, same interior as the Silverado. I like the Chevy on the inside, but the GMC on the outside. Can't go wrong with either one, I would pick the one with the best price.

Out of these two Sierra looks cleaner and wins on looks imo although not a fan of the wood trim interior. I occasionally drive an '08 Chevy Duramax QCLB 4x4 for work and the interior and to be honest most of the truck looks and feels really cheap to me. Get something else unless it has to be GM then wait until 2013 when they are supposed to introduce new redesigned 2014 MY ones. :anonymous:

I've always liked the front ends of the Sierra better. They're getting a little old (new model should be out next year) but I'd still rock a 6.2L Sierra.

I must have got one of the POS ones then. I owned my Z71 for a year, in that year the dealer had it for 4 months.

I think they manufacture too many of them. They are a dime a dozen and you'll never get any moderate resale value out of them.

And there aren't a shit ton of Taco's running around lol. I probably see just as many Taco's around here as I do of the GM twins.

As with any vehicle, you can find cases of people with 200k+ miles as many times as you'll find someone who had one that was a piece of crap.

Neither, I hate the look of the new GM's 1500 line... They look so cheap to me.... Personally I like F150s way more. I'm in no way A Toyota fan boy and can say Tundra's are still at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to the full size market.

Chevy fanboy I'm guessing. You heard the saying 'one bad apple' that's how I see it. I got the bad one and I'll never buy another Chevy.

I'm pretty sure he posted it in the general automotive section. It is ok for him to ask his fellow TW members there opinion on a different brand of trucks.

Nope. It's moderately amusing how quickly the fanboy word is thrown around. I'd be buying an F150 if I were buying a new truck now. Guess that makes me a Ford fanboy, who owns a Tacoma. Everyone here could swear off Toyota based on goofy transmissions and rusty frames. Merely pointing out there's a bad apple amongst every single vehicle on the road. I had an bunch of issues with a GM vehicle from a decade ago, doesn't mean I'd never drive GM again. The subsequent one actually had zero issues.
