Another 12hrs on the truck. Wow this is a lot of work. I put up vinyl on the a pillar of the truck. Glued the headliner to the roof(we’ll see how long it lasts) I cut the rest of the floor plates and welded them all in. I stitch welded them in along the floor and all the way around the tube. I sealed the plates with an adhesive silicone. It’s the stuff left over from my bumper and it works great. I cleaned the shit out of the floor so I can lay down the fatmat.

No matter what I need to work on getting the dash in next week because I have the windshield coming on the 20th.

Sometimes when I work on the truck there is always something that goes south.

I just finished trying to fit the vinyl flooring in the truck and It's a pain in the ass to cut it around the cage I ended up loosing my patience and chopped the shit out of it. Yup so now I need to buy another piece. I'll use this one as a stencil. Kind of sucks but I make mistakes sometimes..... helps to say it out loud tho.

Thanks bud. I'm pretty happy with the vinyl I purchased. It's very heavy duty. I'm just not happy with how I cut it. It's a cut to fit piece but with the cage it makes it difficult to cut correctly. Plus being exhaushed and pushing myself to get this done played a huge part.

Edit: after putting in the info on that site I realized it’s the same stuff just a different company selling it.

Dude it was exhausting and frustrating as fuck for me to install. So much sweat and cursing. And that was without a cage to work around. Props to you for trying to make it work with the cage.

Ha! Yeah it’s some tuff stuff. Very stiff. Trying to fold it in between the cage sucked. It’s all good though. I like how durable it is.

I started the floor today. I had to run to IF to use the bender and swing by K&K Surplus for some steel I needed. Took me a while to really figure out what I was going to do with the floor since I didn't mock it up with pcv. I had to check out a lot of different build pages to get ideas and this is what I came up with.

I'm running to tube from the a pillar to the b pillar with a couple of bends in them. Then with the cross over tube from driver to passenger I decided to go behind the main support under the seat. Then to tie in the seat to the cage I'm running a 3/16 flat piece of plate with 4 bolts that bolt to the cross over tube along the floor. I think this is a pretty clean setup. I did have to drill 1.50 holes though the center part of the floor to run the tube straight across instead of trying to go over the center. That tube "had" to go where it is at to clear the transfer case. I haven't welded anything in yet. Hopefully I get it all done and the dash is a priority tomorrow too. I still need to tie in the cages a piller to the cages a pillar. I'm going to tie it in under the dash not by the windshield like others have. Now if that is a good thing or bad I don't know. it's just what I want to do and I'm pretty sure it will be strong enough. I also Tied in the B pillar but I kind of screwd myself because there is a tube that is supposed to go there that I should of welded in first but I'll just have to raise that tube higher there to just above the plate welded in.

Getting closer. Hopefully I’ll be running next weekend. I welded in th front half of the floor. Got the prp seat mounts tied into the cage. I put the dash and steering wheel in. I tied in the a pillar to the cage.

She's looking sweet Ray. Good choice on the sub! I had an 8w7 in my old truck, and wish I'd kept it.
