Nice! I'll have to go take a look. The idea of linking keeps bouncing around in my head, but I really don't love how low the lower link usually sits.

    Looks good!

Yeah links are a lower sitting part. But some setups have links set at 9 o’clock. When you do that you’ll have to adjust somewhere else. It also depends on who’s links you’re going to run. Some are taller then mine. I went through 3-4 different sizes of lower links until I got them just right and they are still a little bit off but will still work. It’s a give and take. You have to really consider what you’re going to use the truck for before jumping into linking a truck.

instagram points so cool guys will look at me

Nah, I am not interested in SUA as my truck is a bit heavy, and my SOA leaf pack is limiting travel. I'm certainly not planning on doing anything as adventurous as yours, looking to keep my bed "intact" if possible. Plus it sounds like a fun project!

Truck is on hold again. There is always something. I’ve bee feeling sick since Monday night. I’ve been home ever since. My symptoms come in waves. Body aches are the worse. Got a mild fever Monday night. Not really coughing just every now and then. Diarrhea and I don’t have much of a appetite. I still have my taste of food. This is an interesting experience for sure. My attitude about it is, it’s about damn time. I’m not afraid of this. It’s more like whatever.....

Damn, that sucks Ray. If an old bastard like me can survive it, you will too. The aches and fever were the worst for me. Appetite came and went. The breathing was a problem for a few days, but it got better, you don't smoke so you got that going for you. Hang in there!

Thanks bud. Yeah I’m staying positive. I’m not lucky enough for Covid-19 to take me out. Just got to ride this wave. Before you know it I’ll be back at it again.

:bananadead: Poor choice of words Ray. :p I hope you feel better man. I love the tool boxes, they came out great. Also +1 for the steel it gray on the axle and links. If it's just the axle, then black.

As long as the socks don’t have bars of soap in them.

Maybe I didn't tell you the story....
Tractor Supply. Wasn't wearing a mask, nobody cares at Tractor Supply.
Come around a corner to checkout and this little, mid-sixties gentleman sees me and lets out a high pitched squeal and screams "GET AWAY FROM ME WITHOUT A MASK!" and throws a pair of socks at me.
I'm surprised, the other customers are surprised, the cashier is surprised, and suddenly we just all bust out laughing. Couldn't help it. Squeaky is visibly shaken and will probably never return to that store.

So, we've been guessing that socks somehow ward off the virus. Not sure if it'd speed up the recovery process but we could always try it if you want.

That’s hilarious. Yeah I was thinking full metal jacket sock party. I don’t wear a mask anywhere. The only time I did was when I went out yesterday to get tested. In my opinion the mask isn’t going to help shit. If you’re going to get it you will. I’ve been wanting to get it and letting my body do it’s thing.

My wife brought home the virus. She was sick Sunday and it hit me by Monday evening. We didn’t know it was COVID. She thought it was the smell of me painting in the garage that was making her feel ill. It’s all good. Every one here (wife, boy and myself) are sick. I’m already starting to feel a little better.

I’m not 100 percent healed from the rona but I still been trying to get what I can done. Did more painting. Wire brushing everything really sucks. I’m using a 2” wire wheel on my dewalt impact driver. It cleans everything good. Just takes for damn ever. Now onto cycling with my drive shaft and setting pinion angle. I do like the colors and how they came out.

Get a wire wheel for your grinder - way faster. Then I use acetone and scotchbrite that goes fast or something like that lol

Have several wire wheels for my grinder. The problem with that is they are to strong and the grinder catches. I also use a hand sander and paint thinner for wipe down.

Love that color. Always wanted to do mine in speedway blue. But I’ll probably be a poser for a while and run unpainted glass

You have too nice of a grinder - HF Bauer is the perfect compromise between cheap price weakness, and not being so weak as the Chicago HF ones I can make stall by holding a cutoff wheel hard enough against a thick piece of plate. Combined with a cheap HF wire wheel you can jam it in tight spaces and it won't kick back.
