Thanks. That is what I was trying to scale. Is that measured at the top of the frame or at the lower tip there? (The gusset looks like it is not quite parallel to the coil bucket).

That is at the lower tip (2 1/4"). At the upper part of the frame it's (2 1/2"). Also remember that I used two washers on that gusset when other people used one. I now have one washer on the set up.

    Thanks again. That solves that.

About the washers. Do you mean those big cut washers for the TC UCA?

I ask because I'm suspicious that my TC UCA wasn't fabbed just exactly right and I might have some play on the inner UCA washers causing some squeeky slop sound. Anyway I was thinking of using thicker washer so the poly bushing would be pressed properly.

Yes I'm talking about the big washers for the UCA. From what I heard the noise is normal. Now about using thicker washers, I don't know if that will solve your problem. Sorry I can't help you there.

I like those straps. Does ORW still make them?

Edit: Nevermind I found them. Are those 6", 7", 8"?

Edit again: Now I can't find the ORW straps anywhere...

    That is true.

It's all coming off however. The SAS project begins on the 19th.

Nothing yet, unless the parts gathering counts.

What a task just getting pieces ordered along with the research.

I hop I get many pics of the process.

So I scored a full dash harness, igniter, 4wd computer and transmission relay for 300 not bad considering what toyota would of charged me. I also ordered new lug nuts, both drive shafts, instrument cluster and starter from the guy I bought the motor from. I went ahead and ordered the 4x4 actuator from toyota.
I still have a few more parts I need to pick up but hopefully I'll get this motor in soon.

A week or two. I should be done with your cherry picker soon and as soon as I am i'll bring it over. I really appreciate it. I need to move the transmission mount too. That will take some time. To design and get welding in.

... why do you need to move the cross member mount? When I did mine, I was able to use the original location, just needed the 4x4 rubber mount.

    Just curious.

Because it doesn't line up. I don't know if it's because of the 3.4l swap too. I'll take pics and post up once I get to that point.

I've been following your build because I eventually want to put a 3.4 in my truck too. Got me wondering why it'll need to move. Are you having to move it forward?
Never thought about it till now, but the 3.4 seems like it would be shorter length ways which I assume would necessitate moving it forward.

When I had the motor and tranny hooked up I took a quick look and saw it needed to be moved forward. I don't know how for yet. I will once I get everything hooked back up.
