So when I went to cut up the bed I cut up more then I need to. But it all worked out. I am using 1 1/4" angle and 1" strip to make new mounts. They came out pretty good and the glass fits snug.

One concern I have is the 4 bolts in the bed. Im thinking I might have to run bigger washers
so the area of where the washers sit could hold more of the fiberglass edge. Instead of the small washers I'm using. I don't know, overthinking it I guess. Feel free to give opinions. Anyways thats just one side and it's time to get back to work. Peace!

I started with welding the cage mount finally. All 1/4" plate cut at different sizes to make the mounts. Drilled 4 hole per mount and welded the bolts heads in place. All the bolts are grade 8. Some of the holes in the bed where bigger then my 4"x 4" plate but the fit wasn't bad. I can live with it. I still have two more mounts to make and then I can throw the bed on for good.

By the way that mount has two 1/4' plates bolted together. so it is really 1/2" thick on top.

Nope I took everything off and duck taped the ends like crazy then covered it with a wet towel. No problem with the heat there.

Got the bed back on. I'll take better pics once I put the lights on and she gets a bath.

Welcome Reed! Hahaha yeah the money ran out. So I have to wait a couple of weeks on the OT to kick in then it's back on the build.

Just some pics of what it looks like now. All cleaned up.

It looks like I need to paint the yoda emblem, and the two silver pieces under the headlights black.

And the yoda emblems on the doors need to go black too.
