For the new bumper I had to extend the front of the frame to mount to. So I cut out the old front parts and extended the frame. Nothing to exciting yet. Hopefully I'll get the tube soon for the cage and tire carrier and start post fun stuff.

I got half way done with my new winch/ bumper mount and plate. I still need to add a cross member and gusset the pate. This one is going to be a bolt on design instead of the welded on one I had before. I cut and grinded every piece to fit from 1/4" steel. 1/4" steel is free that's why I use it. Peace

I did get started on the cage and tire carrier a while back. Just waiting on last pieces to be bent to complete it. Figure I post the pics that I had to clear up some memory on my phone.

Finished welding the new mount for the bumper and winch. I just need to clean the slag, wire brush, wipe down and paint.

Nope. All I know how to do is stick. 7018 excalibur rod with a buzz box. Nothing fancy. I will have a fab shop here do some mig work for me because of the heat issues that comes with stick.

Added the tubes for the front skids. Big thanks to Corey at Insain Fab for doing the bends on a short notice. Just a few more things to get on there. I also picked up a sandblaster to help out stripping the steel for paint.

So here's a question. Should I go with a black or color match silver for the bumper?

I think Black with the fenders and grill... $.02 throw some TACOMA or TOYOTA letters in color matched silver on the grill and it'll look sick. but I may be bias

From what I have seen I like black tubing with aluminum skid and wing inserts. Keeping the aluminum in its raw color, maybe buffed a bit.

Ok, the fenders and bedsides will be color matched later on. I still haven't decided on a font for the Tacoma letters. I just don't like the big block letters. It's on the list.

Great idea with the aluminum plate. I didn't think about that. I was going to have Insain cut the skids for me so I'll look into the cost of aluminum. Buffed aluminum sounds cool too.

Thanks  I will go with the black bumper. Thanks everyone.
