Ok I see what you did. The bolt hole for the lower is going to land at 5/8” below frame. But I see how you notched out for the cab cage mount. I’ll do the same when I build the link mounts. Thanks.

Yeah I built mine and tehn realized I would have to notch it, but I think being all tied in ended up pretty good

Haha love this dude. Really perfected the process of PVC mock ups. The cage is coming out great!

@Cr250jumper and @MadTaco461 thoughts on how I’m thinking about setting up the B pillar. Anything I should consider or change? Blue tape possible tube.

I'd go with an X on the top portion.

@MadTaco461 ok thanks I’ll look into those builds. Oh and I’m not putting seats in the back seat. It will be tool boxes.

One more question for both of you. @Cr250jumper Should I go larger on the corner gussets?

That’s what I’m going to do in the C pillar (something like this *) but I don’t want all those tubes in the B pillar. I’ve seen a truck like this. I didn’t mind adding the extra two tubes straight down to help the ones angled to the corners.

Corner gussets look good. But I agree with flipping to "V" or do an "X" so the top corner of the B pillar is supported. Otherwise nothing is keeping that section from pushing towards your head. The "A" does good for supporting the center of the roof but there is no support for a side impact to the B pillar

Big thanks to @Cr250jumper , @MadTaco461 and @RedManRocket for your input. I think this will do. I’ve seen on some trucks with the center of the B pillar gusseted. Should I do the same? On the upper parts of the B pillar I did follow the same bends of the bar across behind the seats because need space for seats headrest. But the lowers are straight.

Looking good. You only need a gusset where you aren't going to have a triangle. It's usually along the window and door jam sections.

I think you need to paint all your tube work white, then airbrush the text from PVC onto it when you're all done. lol

A little bit of eye candy. Wasn’t going to share these but I figure what the hell. This is going to be the new seats for the truck. I just might have to order one before I build the cage to make sure it will fit right before I weld in the cage.

I say you repurpose the pvc cage into a tent that can protect you if you somehow roll down a hill in the middle of the night.

Considering the time it would save someone it would be a good idea! Just label all the parts!
