No, I mean east to west lateral play. No engagement of the clutch, just the wiggle span

    O. Lol. Not much if any. Not any measurable distance with a tape.

Uh that's not good lol. Turns out it was a measurable distance; 1/8". Not enough to bother me.

Check that the bolt on that pivot is torqued correctly. If it is, then you can get a washer and put it up there (that's what spaces it stock) and see if that clears up the play. There should be some so it doesn't stick, but not 5/8".

too much. dealer will not replace.

not sure i have 5/8" but i probably have more then 1/8". it has increased over the life of the truck so far which is why i took it to the dealer, and that was my complaint, that it's getting looser... how long can that go on?

    dealer: they're all like this

Does not hinder operations, and does not get worse. Just makes me squirm like stepping on a dead fish in bare feet

This is interesting. I might give this a go.

BTW, where is the accumulator hiding? I don't see anything near the master cylinder or on the firewall. Is it on the bell housing?

Interesting about the accumulator. I'll wait and see if anyone here has done that as well as removing the clutch assist spring.

Feel has definitely improved with deleting the spring. If it can be better without that accumulator, I'll for sure give it a shot.

Wow that does not sound right, mine does not really have any side to side motion, maybe the Dealer would give you a new pedal assembly.

Maybe they didn't threadlock it? I can't remember if mine has a torque marking on it. If mine gets worse I'll just throw some washers on it and threadlock it. Should be good enough to call it a day after that.

Just build a easy bleed system and it's one person job to bleed the line. Ill try and find the link I found on how to do this.

The slow acting pedal in the cold is absolutely hydraulic, on my 08 Tacoma the brake master cylinder also supplied the clutch and it was always good. On my 15 and 17 with a separate reservoir on the fender for the clutch has the pedal not keep up with your foot when it's really cold.

Weird. I'll have to look at it some more when I have the time and try to figure it out. Thanks for the info.

Germain, the part on the right is the MC. It also looks like you've got some clay looking mud all over!

    Thanks!

I've always had fun bleeding clutches. I have the best luck with two people. Vacuum bleeders usually lead to disaster. I've heard good things about speedbleeders.
