Hey all, new to the Tacoma world. A little about me: just got out of the Marine Corps. I was an aircraft mechanic for the V-22. Loved my job, but I felt like it was time to move on. Anyways, here's a few pics of when I purchased my Tacoma a few weeks ago up until today. It's a 2014, rather high mileage (164K) but it was a work truck so it's all highway miles.

The plans are just to make it comfortable and kinda go for an OEM+ build. Being that it's 2WD, I obviously have no plans to off-road, but I do plan on taking it camping. I've been browsing the thread with other peoples' custom camping/bed builds non-stop lately. I'll likely do more lurking than posting, but so far it looks like there's a lot of good info and cool builds here!

    Anyways, onto the pictures.

With the Miata. Needs a few things to get it running as it has been sitting for about 3 years now.

Saw this top pop up on Craigslist for a good deal. I went and got it that day. Really like it compared to the one that came with the truck.

Perks of having a buddy with a nicer 2015 version of your truck... got his old bumper :)

Then the obvious issue of the holes from the bumper side pieces... I plan to lift the truck 2" eventually and will throw on some stock flares and the original bumper pieces. For the time being though, I decided to cover the holes with vinyl. It's not perfect, but it meets my needs for the time being.

And finally, I upgraded the brake, reverse and turn signals to LEDs along with purchasing the plate lights. The plate lights are definitely brighter than I anticipated, but I'm going to leave them for now. I had to trim the left one a little due to damage from a previous fender bender.

    That's all for now!

Thank you for your service sir. I am a new member also, these are great dependable trucks and I bought mine also used. The prior owner of mine kept in fantastic shape. Enjoy it and use it as it was intended. Good luck in your future.
