As a summary for this thread, with this simpler method, you dont have to disconnect existing cables from nor disassemble the engine bay relay/fuse box in any manner except to permanently remove or bust out to break open the fuse section of the existing alternator fuse.

This is because you will instead be installing an external fuse holder of higher value to match the alternator max current rating you decide upon and then connecting the newer larger gauge cable to that external holder, plus the one end of the existing cable (the end removed from the alternator "B" output) cut shorter and left connected to the fuse/relay box "2E" and then a new lug put on it, to join it to the same terminal of the new fuse holder.

As for the other terminal on the new fuse holder, run a new larger gauge the remaining distance to the battery terminal while also leaving the other existing cable from the fuse box "2C" intact and as is (still connected to the positive battery terminal).

Another benefit of this new method is that since you dont have to try to fit larger cables to the existing terminals inside the fuse/relay panel which is a challenge to even get 1/0 gauge into it. you can now use 2/0 gauge or even 4/0 gauge.
