The driveshaft wasn't painted today because he's waiting on a dust boot which will arrive tomorrow, but here are the pics of my nearly finished driveshaft.

Has anyone ever looked into getting a drive shaft from a 4 door jeep cut to length?

I'm paying Bay Area California prices, so please keep that in mind. $1,300

That's a 100% new driveshaft with all USA made parts, CB and 1330 U-joints. A local shop was a little over a grand, but since this shop was highly rated and a fellow member had success there, I figured I'd just go this route, even though it's not local and a bit more money. I just want the issue fixed and I'm beyond tired of screwing with it. I've been under my truck and swapped axle shims and CB drops at least 20 times since I installed the TRD Pro kit and 3-AAL in the rear earlier this year. I should have just bought this from day one - I'd be ahead since I've wasted several days messing with this damn thing. Never got it fixed and I want it fixed.

Thanks for the info, I feel your pain. I ended up putting my truck back to stock after trying everything with the stock shaft. Should have done this mod, but was tired of messing with it. Will have to keep this in mind if I lift again.

I have a driveshaft just like this...it works great!!! Zero problems. Mine was a lot cheaper tho at a local shop here in Florida.

Panhandle Driveline. It’s in Milton Florida. Mine isn’t a brand new driveshaft tho. They just modified mine which is why it was ALOT cheaper then the above driveshaft. But I have had it for a year and a half now and I just had them inspect it due to new vibrations I’m having. There is nothing wrong with it. Turns out that my vibration are from my KO2s that are out of round.

They are pretty great...I think it cost me $350-$400.

And for any other lift problems and such the best shop is Lifted Life Customs.

I did not want my stock shaft modified, so that's why I went all new. If it fixes the problem, spending $1,300 will be a distant memory in a couple of weeks. lol

The OE driveshaft is out and I'm ready to pick up and install the replacement two piece with a double cardan joint tomorrow. Upon checking the rear shaft, the front and center u-joints were in good shape. The carrier bearing also feels smooth. The rear u-joint feels a little stiff on one axis, so I'm wondering if that wasn't helping matters. The shaft has about 40.5k miles on it. More to come after I install the new driveshaft tomorrow.

I'm curious if you've done top-end run to see how it behaves at higher speeds.

You’re right. I could have. I guess you missed the part that I don’t want vibrations. The truck has those exact tires on it when I bought it. They were the first thing to go.
