Will a single cat exhaust(pre 99) bolt up to a dual cat(2002) truck? Given that you remove the second cat. With no cutting/welding.

No, I think the exhaust header is a different length, and so is the cat-back

FWIW I replaced my entire two cat exhaust line from the header to the tailpipe with a pre-99 one cat configuration exhaust line. It all bolted up that way. (I should note I have a single “test pipe” where the cat should be and the LCE header which is designed to bolt up to the one cat exhaust line)

Well hell. Didn’t want to hear that. Guess cutting and welding are in my future.
