I've been reading through forum posts and it seems like the most common solution is that people purchase the Metra pocket to fill the space left over when they install a single DIN stereo to replace the factory double DIN. However, I am finding it more difficult than it should be to find the Metra kit anywhere. Any help there would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I have an older replacement stereo that I want to throw in because the CD player on the factory unit is acting up and the replacement stereo has an aux jack for my Ipod. Anyway, the replacement stereo has no mounting brackets on it. How do I secure the aftermarket stereo into place?

If anyone has any pics of what theirs looks like or any advice I would be grateful. I want to try and get the parts ordered and get this done soon. Thanks!

For the 1st generation you use the factory brackets off the stock radio.

ahh, thank you so much. I haven't taken the dash out yet so I was unsure. So I just need to order the pocket to fill the space.

Also, has anyone here ever tried any of the random ones on Ebay (not metra)? I was just curious as to what type of quality they were.

I used the kit at walmart and it works fine for me. Also you can get the connectors to plug into the factory wiring and just solder the new connector to your new headunit wiring.

I doubt that my local walmart has something like that.

I've got the wiring connectors already so I just need the pocket and I should be good to go. Thanks for the help.
