If you want to gain some more traffic in your build thread throw a link in your signature. After seeing some of your pictures, I had to search your posting history to see if you had put together a build thread.

Thank you so much! And yeah here’s what I put on that exposed hole to somewhat seal it off. I have since plugged half of these holes I drilled.

Snorkel! Even after trying to mimic you and Meso I went through several variations none of which I was confident enough about! So Snorkel! Haha looks good glad it’s working for you?!!

No snorkel for me. For several reasons but it is a secure solution!

Love the truck man. Truly ballin on a budget and it looks good while doing it. Glad to see there are still people on here who can't afford Kings.

No need to run Kings for the sort of slow wheeling I tend to do. Though I plan to do an @ARCHIVE rear shock relocation with 14” kings in the future. I still need to install my hammer hangers from him. Thank you for the kind words!

Been digging the progression of your rig. We seem to be going a similar route but in different orders. Some of the things I have or will do, you already did, which provided me insight. Other things you plan on doing I have already done. Different paths to the same end goal. A killer rig that we enjoyed building along the way.

I got a boy and a girl 3.5 years old. Relax, their twins .. one mom. Anyways, I too cherish the truck time I have with them. Really looking forward to the future when they can wrench. I tell my wife I am building the truck for them. In 13 years it'll be ready when they get their license. I pulled the trigger on the b110s in the rear because of your reviews. Killer droop for a cheap price. Eventually I'll do the shock relocate (BAMF FTMFW, but they are local to me) and kings in the back (already upfront). For now I am loving the b110s though. Also about to pull the trigger on your full spare in bed mod. I got a bruteforcefab HC rear (and hybrid front, again local too me), but I am already limo status so I didnt want a swing out.

I have enjoyed your contributions to TW, so I am in on the thread to up your traffic, BS, and share ideas and love for the build.

I just got my parts via that brown truck to do the cowl air intake mod. I am getting ready to jump up to 35s, so I'll be trimming my fenders and losing my liners. I too do not want a snorkel (atleast at this point in time) so I am going the cowl reroute way. Did you consider that? Probably better to prevent dust and is a little higher if you do cross water.

Speaking of 35s ... Do you rub at all? What backspace you got on your FN wheels (I got FN too )?

Okay so, CMC, BFH pinch weld, and cut fenders/loose liners. Did you do anything else?

I did a CMC myself, but now realize it needs to be more aggressive so I am going to a guy the local TW use to do an Aggressive CMC. I did my pinch weld and will be rerouting my air intake and cutting my fenders. My concern is I will still rub on the firewall??? :goingcrazy:I have researched the hell out of it, but there is so many varying reports due to different setups. It is driving me crazy actually.. Any insight or advice?

Running an Ultragauge now so I can monitor my trans temps specifically. Especially without a regear I don’t want to cook my trans with my 35’s. The Ultragauge MX is the one that monitors trans temps out of the box. Mine was $105 shipped delivered in 2 days from Ultragauge directly. (With 2 different mounts). Plugs right into OBDII. Love this little thing. Incredibly handy and will likely save me a ton of money someday. Haha. Also it clears and checks codes

Yes absolutely I do rub. I only rub at full lock in reverse. Anyone that has ACTUAL 35’s and says they don’t rub either Has a crazy body lift and or drop bracket lift or is lying. Or maybe they have 315/70/17 KO2’s which are closer to 33.7” tall or something. My rubbing isn’t bad and again is only in certain situations. The ONLY way to avoid rubbing with 35’s is with a cab mount relocation or by leaving the cab mount wide open after chopping the front of it. (Which is very foolish).

Here’s a pic of what my wheel well looks like for example. FLAT pinch seam, aggressive CMC, NO outer fenders & hammered all over the place.

I ONLY touch the firewall at full stuff. Not a big issue. And tbh I could just add a spacer to my front wheelers superbumps and fix that too

My FN wheels are -25 offset which makes the trimming required even more aggressive for sure. But the stance is worth it IMO

Yeah I thought about doing that but my custom DIY SRI has been working out just fine. I blocked off the fender hole and I’m not worried about hydrolock.. for now
