ha; I keep telling myself the same thing. “In just 1-2 months I’ll have my cab mount relocate and 63 swap done”...

6mo later, stuff is still sitting in my parts pile

Hopefully everything is done by late June/early July, since that is when our 2nd is due...but yeah probably won’t be done.

 

I feel you, life has been super crazy & ive been working 4-6 12hr shifts per week this season (flu season)

 

Quick little mod day swapping out my OEM rad core support bushings with energy suspensions poly ones. Then I moved my front rock lights from the bumper to the frame and angled them perfectly for where I’d like them.

 

Hell yeah. Dad, son, and Taco time.

 

Drilled/Tapped some shackles today with zerks so I can keep my @ARCHIVE poly bushings nice & greasy. These will go in next week when I do my hammer hangers.

 

Finally got around to trimming my Ubolts. Theyve been like this for a long time and it has really bothered me. Only problem is I woke my son up so I only got one side done. #napmods

Subd. Nice build man. And seeing all of those pics of your mountain biking adventures make me really hope that I'm able to get back on mine this spring.

 

Yeehaw. Lots of hard work, but went smooth! Installed my @ARCHIVE hammer hangers with cross tube, trimmed my correct Dakar leaf, & replaced my shackles with new OEM ones with Archive poly bushings & grease fittings that I made. I am SO STOKED FOR THIS. Already a noticeable increase in ride quality even just around town. Can’t wait to wheel this rear end, HARD.

How difficult 1-10 and did you use a grinder drill them out r what?

 

What rear bumper are you running?

 

It wasn’t that difficult at all. I have a $40 4.5” angle grinder from harbor freight & my cutoff discs are MILWAUKEE carbon & my flapper discs are Amazon special.

it wasn’t that difficult, just gotta throw a lot of sparks & metal shavings, wear eye protection, gloves and cover your bare skin.

-Use cutoff disc to chop head of rivets off (best you can).

-use flapper disc to flatten, clean and grind down the remaining rivet

-center punch the rivet (used as a guide for your drilling

-drill out center punch all the way through with 1/4 inch bit

-drill through with 1/2” bit

-smack hanger off the frame rails with 10lb hammer, clean frame , paint frame, bolt up hammer hangers. It honestly wasn’t a big deal with that process.
