thanks. that's what mine is. it actually has a s52 in it so it's even more fun when it's working. It was reliable for almost a year then now I think the fuel pump relay gave out. The problem is it's been relocated so I'm trying to find it.

That's awesome, I'm sure it was a blast to drive when it was running. I had dreams of swapping mine but no funds in college haha. Maybe some day I'll pick another one up!

Over the weekend I painted "chrome" bumper caps, door moldings I bought for $35 on eBay that I trimmed, grill emblem and grill surround in quicksand.

Did a video of what I did and how to get those caps off.

I think it came out decent for a non pro and cost me less than $100 to accomplish.

I had picked up these TRD Rock Warrior 17s beadlock style wheels but decided to just sell them instead.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like them mounted and I tried to find a set of low mileage tires but a few sellers just wanted gold prices for them.

So I ended up picking up some 16 inch TRD Baja style with tires instead. I got a decent deal and used the truck as a true truck to pick up the wheels.

I like them but may do some plastidipping (I mean "derping" as TW posters say) another color. Well at least do the rings and center cap.

The tires are Duratracs with a claimed 16k miles. So far they are noisy vs the stock ones but not too excessive. They're a little bigger than stock as well.

I haven't transferred the TPMS yet as I want to see how they feel on the freeway.

    What do you guys think?

I totally forgot to post this here a week ago. I usually will double post on the 'what did you do thread...'

April Fool's weekend I painted the chrome bumper caps, door moldings I bought for $35 on eBay that I trimmed (originally for f150 and black), the grill emblem and grill surround all in quicksand.

I got the paint from automotivetouchups.com

I couldn't find any 3rd gen installs which is unique but they're heavy for forged so i decided to go 16 instead to reduce my investment.

so i've been a little stagnant last few weeks. lol

I actually have some sliders in the works but the fabricator is busy for a few more weeks.

In the meanwhile I finally got my E30 back up and running. I had to take it to the mechanic as I just couldn't figure it out. $350 later it's fixed. Who would have guessed it was a 30 year old fusible link underneath the rear seat all wrapped up.

Anyways I polished her up a little since it was starting to haze up.

Here's a pic of it and the Taco to be TW related.

Yesterday I got my sliders installed by Shmellfab who is local in LA.

I think they look great and will definitely do the job they're meant for.

Check out my video I took of Ryan where he talked about his sliders, choice of materials and design as well as install and testing of some custom removable steps he made for my son to use but the kickout works good enough for him. I slapped them in front instead.

Dang your truck looks good. I love these wheels and was actually wondering what the grey would look like on the quicksand. Really looks good. I'd not paint them if I were you (I think you said you were considering it).

I'm keeping this thread so when I eventually get my truck I have some inspiration!

thanks for the compliment. trying to keep it clean and budget conscious which is really hard. lol.

Yea I think i'll just keep the wheels alone. I could plastidip them but then it's more time and effort.

    thanks
