Mine does it too. Takes about 3 days for it to sink to the lowest level. I think I'll wait for my first tire rotation/oil change to report the problem. I'm sure it will be a hassle and involve multiple service trips. The system seems pretty "1980ish"....IMHO.

Actually, my 1988 Camry had 3 knobs on the side, raise/lower the front, raise/lower the rear, seat recline. So this is pre-1988 if we can't adjust the the front independently of the rear. My 2012 Nissan Xterra was like my Camry except the recline was a lever.

Edit to add: also the reason I added spacers on the back, I'm too old to have the ass lower than my knees, bad for circulation.

I'm in the same boat. Some days I think it sunk others I'm certain it hasn't. I commute to work by train so my cars can sit for days before using and I just cannot figure out if its all in my head. I keep saying to get a tape measure and record it but of course I just forget every time I park my truck.

This issue reminds me of defective office chairs. I wonder if Toyota is going to fix this with a new design, or just go electric for everyone in 2025.

I took mine in for this issue last week, the dealer determined it’s a design flaw. They seem to think I’m accidentally bumping the lever to lower the seat when I get in or out of the vehicle. I’m not totally convinced that this is actually the issue

I don't even think it is humanly possible to accidentally bump the lever causing it to adjust. It is so tight to the seat and requires consistent pressure to adjust. You can't bump it and accidentally adjust it.

So apparently mine has now started doing this. Got in the truck the other day and was like "Why TF am I on the floor?". Guess I'll make note of it when it goes in for 6mo service in October.

I’d probable call your dealer service person now, and get on the list for a fix. Assuming of course that Toyota is going to fix this.

There used to be a guy, who made aluminum spacers, to lift the back of the seats…….very popular for 2nd and 3rd gens……..
High grade, machined, included longer bolts…….from Florida…..

hopefully someone remembers and can post a link

    I bought these: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0B8NDG1LM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

For the rear, could only find plastic.

Toyota must have messed up the cost analysis for the seat height adjuster for “how cheap can we make it until it actually starts costing us MORE money”.

I was about to make a thread about what annoys me about this truck. This is one of them. I got money Toyota doesn't fix the issue.

Update on my issue. I have been measuring it and it mostly doesn't move. Maybe every 10th time I'm in the truck i notice it moved slightly, 1 inch. I do not think I have the same issue as others, as it is never on the floor but only slightly lower. Enough to be annoying, though. I am starting to think I am hitting the lever with my butt when I exit the truck. I do think its possible to drag my can over the handle getting out so am purposely being conscious of my exiting. Curious if anyone has a similar issue with it moving down only slightly. Anyone have it moving slightly?

I should mention I have manual seats.

24’ Taco OR 6sp - Mine sinks and gets worse as I take it on the rocks and wash board roads. Took it to the service department 2 times already within 2 weeks of each other. They said “we could not duplicate the issue, just monitor it”. They didn't drive it, the just let it sit. Thats not what we do with our trucks. We use our Tacos! .

Mine sinks constantly and it's irritating as hell. I have noticed it does it more when the truck is sitting in the sun all day. At what we paid for these truck this shouldn't be a problem.
