Feel free to discuss the merits and business practices of sirius. As well as my decision.
However, I wasn't looking for validation or approval.
There have been a few threads about sirius and the BS you have to deal with when your deal expires.

This thread was for those who would like to have it function at the lowest cost.
3/99 seems to be very difficult to obtain. I have never been able to get it before. Have been subjected to the sirius billing games for years. Again, which I don't enjoy.
I have three vehicles with factory sirius and prefer for it to work.

The service level is music and entertainment. It includes HS.

there's zero competition for satellite radio. i refuse to use their service. spotify and pandora work for me. I also download FLAC collections and convert them to ALAC and use my phone for good music. none of that low bitrate garbage that sounds like static when you turn the volume up.

I thought the same thing when I bought my 2020, but I REALLY enjoy not having to listen to constant commercials! I did the free trial and when that ended I've been paying $23/month for the last year or so.

I travel A LOT and for me the convenience of not having to download music or find channels on the road make it worth it. Plus, it's people like me who pay full price that allows others to get it at $4/month. LOL! I just don't want to deal with the hassle described in the first post for a service I personally feel worth it to me.

It's mostly just background noise for me. I just stream Pandora, Premium has Offline Mode for when there's no signal, or just hit the Scan button when I'm traveling. Sometimes I just turn the radio off altogether.
