SiriusXM installation to antenna

    I have a lifetime siriusxm portable radio that would like to install in my 2023 tacoma.My question
    is can i use the trucks antenna{trunk has siriusxm installed}for my portable radio?all i need is a splitter or other way to connect to antenna?can anyone help

    Not sure on the technical side of things, but here are a couple of thoughts on the lifetime subscription side:

    1. Just use carplay/android auto and the Sirius XM app. Your subscription gives you free app access and then there would be no need to even use the hardwired system in the Tacoma
    2. Not sure if this applies to you, but there was a class action lawsuit with Sirius XM a while back regarding their "lifetime" subscriptions in cars. I am unsure if it applies to the portable radios. Basically, Sirius settled the lawsuit and anyone with a lifetime subscription for their car now has it tied to the life of the owner not the life of the radio. You have to pay a transfer fee each time you move the subscription to a new radio.

    Look into the second option before you contact Sirius XM. IF you were not the original owner of the lifetime subscription radio, they will shut off the radio.
