Sorry about that...but my shots are for sale, so I have to protect them. No one wants to print 8x10s or posters with a watermark on them! Unfortunately as much as I didn't want to do it, I had to in order to protect my shots from being stolen, altered and printed elsewhere. Hope you guys can understand

I know what you mean, but here's the other side of it. Anyone who's gonna take a 800 x something photo and print it probably won't buy it to begin with. At the same time, you might've missed a few sales because people who don't know photography will look at it and not be able to appreciate how good of a photo it is and won't even think to buy it.

For the rest of us who are just looking to appreciate the photos, it's off-putting. Instead of being able to enjoy them, I keep thinking about how concerned you are about someone using it without paying. That's just my opinion though and I only say it to be constructive.

Considering that my PM box on pirate4x4 is full of people wanting to buy pictures of their Teams in action I doubt I lost any sales...in fact I got more interest in my shots once I watermarked them because people don't want to use watermarked photos in there catalog/posters/ads :D Trust me Toph it's not cool to see people taking my shit and using it for there advantage without my consent...I've already e-mailed a few individuals who thought they could take my pictures and use them how ever they wanted (it was my fault for not watermarking my shots from the get go, and posting up them up right away) but my copyright statement clearly defines you cannot use my shots.

Unfortunately there are more shady people then good honest people...after all I do have a business to run. :)

I'm not saying don't put a watermark on them, just don't put a gigantic one across people's faces and the subject of the photo. I've had lots of pictures/videos I've made used by random people across the internet...it'll happen.

I'm glad to hear you have some good business rolling, but that doesn't mean you didn't miss some opportunities. As a wise salesman told me "If only they knew what they don't know".

Do you have any idea how easy it is for a Photoshop expert to remove small watermarks? :D I like my big giant watermark...it makes it harder to remove. :)

I would definitely consider it now...if a good deal comes along on a 5D I think I would have a hard time passing it. But on the other hand I want to shoot the same setup on Nikon and see if I get the same results. So I might rent a D700/70-200 f2.8 and see what happens.

With the exception of button layout and feature location (at least the ones I use) I have no complaints about it! :)
