Mine cuts out more under giant power lines than anywhere else. Also at the intersections of some freeway entrance/exit ramps. Other than that not bad.

Just renewed mine, after my first 6 months was up, they wanted to bill me $19 a month for top tier. Said hell no, told them to cancel my subscription. After 10 minutes of hearing several "best I can do" deals, I got 1 year for $90. Its all I listen to in my Tacoma so for me a good deal.

I agree. I dont have time for commercials, other drivers are stressful enough. Also I can hear just about what I want to hear.

My truck came with 3months, and I believe the dealer does give them your info. My number I never give out is repeatedly called, even after I told them I don't want it, and mail every other week. I refuse to pay for radio, it's not even that great.

I had sirius for years. I'm about over it. The automatic renewal at an inflated rate drives me crazy. Their customer service has gone down the toilet and off to India.

Bought my truck this past April and had the free 3-months. They kept sending me emails and stuff in the mail wanting me to subscribe .. about every week. Finally they sent me an offer of 6-months for $30 and i signed up. I will cancel right before it ends because if not they will automatically charge me regular price which i think showed $19.95/month ... i'd never pay that much

I have my subscription for $124 with tax here in Canada for Sirius (around 10$ a month). I like having the extra stations and I have cancelled my Sirius before, play hard ball with them when you negotiate prices.

With every vehicle I've ever bought with XM the dealer has given them my information. Each dealer also setup the initial trial as well.

When I got my BRZ the XM wasn't enabled. I knew ahead of time that the factory radio wasn't much good so I bought an aftermarket unit to put in with the thought of waiting until after the trial period expired before swapping it out. Since I had the new radio and XM wasn't on, I went ahead and got rid of the factory unit. About a month after that I got a letter from XM stating that my 3 month trial period was now active.

In the meantime the BRZ's XM trial expired and they send me mail all the time. I also get the very same letter within a day or two with the same offer to turn on XM in my Tacoma...

As others have said, the best way to get it is to haggle with them. My mom keeps it in her Mustang and enjoys it. She pays around $5 a month I believe but has to go through haggling and threatening to cancel every so often.

I had a bad experience with them and wouldn't use a credit card to subscribe. I was in a bad wreck about 10 years ago and only had my S-10. I'd kept XM in it because I was in college and whenever I drove home it was about a 5 hour trip. I'd just kept subscribing after I started work. A guy hit me head on and came close to killing me, spent a few weeks in the hospital and had to take a few months to get to walk again. Since the truck was gone I figured I'd cancel XM to keep from paying for it. The XM guy then starts telling me they can set me up a new subscription for my new vehicle. I tell him I have no vehicle. He then tells me that they can set me up with a receiver that you clip on your belt so I can listen while I walk to work... This pissed me off because at this point I really couldn't walk so the conversation got heated.

If I ever decided to get it again I'd buy an XM gift card off of their website to subscribe. That way if the $$ runs out, they've got no way to renew you.

I will say that in vehicles I've swapped radios in, I did install the XM module and connect the antennas. It's pretty neat to get the free weeks they put out every year and if anybody ever gives me an XM gift card I can use it.

Sorry to hear about the past accident, hope you have fully recovered! They really do push for you to pay by credit card, I specifically ask for them to mail me a bill that I can pay by check with.

You should not have to worry about Sirius charging your credit card. Auto renewal is a poor business practice in my book.
