Sitting bench?

Are the 4 pieces under the bench to brace the seat? It looks dam good!

 

i could see how this would be good for drive ins. but for normal tailgating, maybe some kind of back support by the tailgate when its open. this way, it would be like sitting on a bench.

The supports on the bottom not being symmetrically spaced on either side is bothering me probably more than it should be.

 

The bottom peices are screwed and glued into the bench. What I did was lay the wood across both of the wheel wells and measured the space. And I Couldn't get them to be very symmetrical because I had to fit them into the grooves of the truck bed if that makes sense. Also was in a bit of a rush agains Harvey lol

I have some extra sear pans from an ergonomic seat if you want you attach them to your bench.

 

Does it remove easily? It seems as though you're loosing a lot of your already small bed.

 

San Diego still has a few, but they are decidedly more of an east coast thing.

great idea i just sit on my tool box. I would finish it off. stain it paint it whether proof fabric whatever you like. also build some kind of storage under it. draws cubbies what not

 

Yes the grooves! Groove spacing between supports is 4-1-3 left to right. Why couldn't you make it 3-2-3 OP!? Why!!
