Was looking into putting a 3 inch lift on my 08 prerunner and the local shop suggested a toytec lift and 29 or 30 inch tires. But I thought that 3' will be able to fit 33 inch tires? So my question is what is the biggest size tire I can fit on a 3 inch lift?

depends on how much you trim and if you get your cab mounts or not...aia could fit 295/75/16s no biggie

    Generally, 285/75/16s are ideal (33")

you can fit as big of tires as you want but there will be rubbing :p

no just kidding 33's are the biggest with a fair amount of cutting, you could have found this easily by searching

That's exactly what I thought, but he says I'm going to need to trim just to put 30's on. So I'm not sure if he is just an idiot or what.

Leer 100XL and a bunch of off-roading scars.
I am running 31.7" with a 2" lift. No trimming. Some people even run these without a lift.
