Howdy Y'All......Never had a problem with size but need a little help pls.

I've owned pretty much every vehicle going with the notable exception of a Ferrari. Came close once on a 308 GT4 (dang wish I had $$$$'s now).

One thing I have not really done though is upgraded wheels/tires. I'm restoring my 96 Taco regular cab 4X4 and as part of the process want to lift it 3" on King Coilovers and upgrade from my stock steelies and 31's to 33's.

Do I go to a bigger diameter rim for this. Do I go wider. Then the offset stuff......I have no clue.

Obviously don't want to rub or deal with a whole bunch of cutting/trimming.

Can anyone guide me on rim sizing and offset please. I have stock fender flares and would like to be out level or just a hair past them if possible.

BTW I like the ION 179 rim and have then on my 7.3 too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I would say look for a wheel that has atleast a 7 inch wide profile. I like 8.5 inch width. you can usually find 16x8.5s pretty easily. Also most good tire shops can help you find the right offset and max tire size you can run and what the best offset would be based on your preference. 33s should be able to fit just fine with your 3 inch lift.
