One of the holes where my front skid plate attaches to the frame has a bolt stuck in it that refuses to come out. I tried using an extractor and removed the front bumper to get at it. The bolt spins in place (both ways) and doesn't seem to catch on anything no matter how I try to push or pull on it while turning. The head is also sheared off. Any suggestions on how to get this thing out?!

Probably a hammer at this point, then going to have to chase the threads and probably go up to a larger bolt

Sounds like a bummer of a situation! Sorry this happened to you and your taco.
I just took a look at the vid and would suggest:

If you have a welder try the following:

    1. Weld a nut to the broken shaft of the bolt. (if no welder then can you get two nuts locked onto the shaft?)
    2. apply pressure to the backside of the broken bolt as you Left-loosey it out.

From your vid you now have a "captive stud"(that's what I would call it) stuck in the hole. To engage what could remain of the treads you need pressure. This method however may not work if the treads inside the frame are shot or if the remaining treads on the bolt are shot.

If you don't have a welder, JB epoxy weld it in place so when you drill it out with a bigger bit it won't spin on you. At this point re-tap the hole and get a new bolt.

    Best of luck!

Thanks for the advice! No welder unfortunately so I'll first try getting two nuts in there and then give the JB weld method a shot. Last resort, I'll go hammer time on it like treyus suggested, though I hope to avoid that.

you can also just drill it out and rethread it

Well it took me a while to get around to it but I got the bolt out! Big thanks to Sklar for mentioning how it needed pressure to get the bolt to catch. I ended up using a janky setup of a wrench and hammer to make a 1-handed lever to apply pressure to the top of the bolt while using my other hand to turn the bolt extractor. Check the photos to see it in all its glory.

Now I'm off to grab a tap and rechase the threads on all of the holes, and remount my skid plate.
